The ATP doubles legend went on to say, “People go finish their careers just making quarterfinals. Yeah. You know, at the end of the day, I think it’s not the results.” While brushing aside ‘results’ as a decisive factor, Bopanna opened up about how the Serbian tennis player had to break the strong duopoly of  Federer and Nadal, when arrived on the men’s tour.

Bopanna said, “I’m you know, just who’s making but I just think from that time Novak came in, he already had to fight through Roger, Rafa to be where he is today.” Aside from Bopanna, another doubles tennis superstar picked up Djokovic as the ‘GOAT’ while bringing to light a ‘history book’ narrative.
